Department of Home Science was established in September 1989. Initially the department was started at B. A. level with Home Science as one of the subject amongst other subject offered by faculty of arts. Home Science at Post Graduate Level was started by the department in the year 2007 under self-finance mode by departmental efforts. The PG programme follows semester system mode as per UGC guide lines. Ph. D. Programme in Home Science has been started from 2011-12 as per UGC Norms.
