The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication was established in 2006-07 aiming to nurture a distinct breed of journalists who are passionate about their country, culture and society, and are committed to their profession. Combining youth, experience and expertise, our faculty members help students in choosing their field of interest and specialization, and help them discover their innate potential. We also harness the huge human resources of Kumaun region, well known for its illustrious line of journalists - past and present.
