About the Sociology Department
The Department of Sociology, one of the oldest Post-Graduate Department of Kumaun University has been providing teaching at under graduate and post graduate level since 1974 and research programme since 1977. Since its establishment in the year 1975-76 at Post graduate level, the Department of Sociology has been doing pioneering work in the field of teaching, research and extension activities meant for knowledge generation, knowledge sharing and knowledge dissemination.
